I recently started volunteering at the Nevada Humane Society. I love animals and since I can't adopt them all, I thought I could offer my photography as a tool to help these pets find a good home. I met with Kimberly, the communications manager, at the Humane Society and she showed me around the facility. She had a special project for me on my first day there....Anabelle is a blind dog who actually has had both her eyes removed due to medical reasons. They wanted to get a photo of her with one of the staff members and use the photo to help her get adopted. Here is the photo:

A few days later the photo appeared on their Facebook page with info about cute Anabelle....and a few days after that there was another message....Anabelle had been adopted! I was thrilled that she had found a forever home and touched that in some small way my photo may have helped her find her home!

I know photography can make the difference is these pets getting adopted....here are some other shots I got of dogs and cats that need homes! Check out the Nevada Humane Society for adoptable pets and how you can help! Thanks!
