This is Thailand:

If I had to sum up our trip in one picture, that would be the one. To date is it one of my most favorite photos I have taken. Many of you may not think that is a "typical" photo of Thailand. Where is the beautiful beach? The luxury resort? But that is not why I went to Thailand. I went to Thailand with 16 others from my church (Outlook Christian Church) to touch the lives of children there by teaching them English and showing them love. And that photo speaks volumes about the kids!

Here are some of my other shots....of maybe the more typical Thailand:

And thankfully there were even some photos taken of me taking photos!

Last but not least I will never forget my trusty assistant Hin....he actually got some good shots!

When in Thailand.....

I read a blog post by David duChemin recently that hit home with me. He says "Live a great story. Not only a great life." What is your story? Are you proud of it? Can you make it better?

Step out in faith and do something crazy. Give back to those in need. Spend time with your family. Love the unloved. Travel the world. Explore the community in your own city or town.

You don't need to go to Thailand to have a great story.....you can make a difference wherever you are right now. You just have to take that step and make the commitment to make a difference!
