Welcome to the Blog! Thanks for stopping by...please check back often for updates on recent shoots and photo adventures in the Reno/Tahoe area! =) The Weber FamilyRecently I photographed the family of one of my fellow BNI members, Connie! Her stepson Jeff graduated from Reno High this year, so I took senior portraits of him:
Connie declined the opportunity to be in any photos....maybe next time! Congrats to Jeff and all the 2013 Graduates! Headshot Shoot at Wingfield ParkThe past few weeks have been super busy! Thanks everyone for your business! Today on the blog is a headshot shoot I did recently....stay tuned to the blog all week for more posts! And remember to like my Facebook page to stay updated on what's going on! Brian and I met recently at a networking mixer. He is a publisher for Best Version Media...a company that publishes neighborhood magazines. The first publication for Somersett/Caughlin Ranch is coming out in July and Brian needed a headshot portrait for it. We went downtown to Wingfield Park for the photoshoot:
Ladybugs!Last week my husband Jason and I went to the local plant nursery and bought a container of ladybugs to help take care of the aphid problem in our yard. Jason is a home brewer and he grows his own hops for his beer and the aphids are all over the hop plants. After releasing some ladybugs on several evenings we started noticing some strange black and orange bugs. We did some research and learned they were ladybug larvae! I had no idea that ladybugs go through a 4 stage life cycle similar to butterflies! We have since found all four stages of life in our yard:
We are pretty excited to have lots of ladybugs in our yard! Here are a few more shots of our little friends:
Be sure to check back soon because one of these days I might venture outside of my own backyard ;) Springtime in RenoHere are some shots of springtime in our yard here in Reno! Enjoying the fact that this year our yard is green and blooming instead of brown and dead like when we moved in last year! A few more lupine shots:
The Lupine Project Week 2Last week was week 2 of the Lupine Project! It has been fun seeing the evolution of these beautiful flowers!
I'll be doing another post later this week with other cool shots I have gotten of things blooming in our yard! Keep up to date by liking my Facebook Page! Thanks! |
